Kingswood Church is very excited to announce that Rev. Dr. Dana Everhart has been appointed as Kingswood’s new pastor, effective July 1, 2024. Dana will take the baton from Pastor Charles, whose last day with Kingswood Church will be Sunday, June 9.
Dana comes to Kingswood with 36 years of pastoral experience and a passion for Christ, for the church, and for people. He was ordained an elder in 1988 and has served as a local pastor in several United Methodist churches. He also served in multiple roles at the North Georgia Conference, most recently as Mission Specialist for the South East District.
In a personal message to the SPRC, Dana joyfully shared that he is “beyond excited to be appointed to Kingswood United Methodist Church.” He added that “God has amazing and wonderful plans for our time together, and I look forward to this new opportunity.”
Dana is native of Brandon, Florida. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education from Florida Southern College and a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from the Candler School of Theology.
He and his wife, Sally McGill Everhart, reside in Evans, GA, and together they have three grown up children- Matthew, Jacob, and Katie.
