The Missions Committee is currently seeking new leadership for the Backpack Blessings ministry. While Heather Nadler is stepping back from her leadership role, she remains available as a resource for guidance and support. BPB also offers training modules to help new leaders get up to speed and feel equipped for the role. If interested in leading this ministry, please email Pastor Dana at deverhart@kingswood.church.
For those who might not be familiar with the Backpack Buddies of Metro Atlanta (BPBMA), they are a non-profit organization that partners with local community organizations to provide “backpacks” of food to be sent home from school each Friday with students who are dependent on their school’s free breakfast and lunch program to ensure that the children could have something to eat over the weekend.
