The Executive Council is happy to announce that we are ramping up to reopening the church. Over the past three weeks we have seen a substantial drop in the number of positive COVID tests here in Dekalb County. Because of this, the staff has begun pivoting their workload to the reopening of the church.
Beginning Sunday, October 18, we will begin live streaming our pre-recorded 8:45 and 11:00 worship services via YouTube in preparation for our return to in-person worship — which will be announced on the web site and in the newsletter once the average drops below 50.
From now until we are allowed to meet in person, we will use Sunday mornings to train staff and volunteers in our COVID policies and in the use of our live-streaming, sound system, and projection equipment.
Per our re-opening protocol, we will begin by allowing Sunday School classes, committees, and church groups to meet in groups of ten or less and under all the guidelines of our reopening protocol. Please continue to pray these numbers continue to drop, not just here in DeKalb County, but all over the world.
