Here at Kingswood, we are well into the process of finalizing our reopening protocol. Regardless if you want to come back now or if you want to wait a few more weeks, or wait even months before you return, the Executive Council believes it is most important we do not leave anyone behind or do anything which would prohibit our membership and friends from either worshiping in person or worshiping via live-streaming.
Our reopening date will depend on the arrival of our recently purchased live-streaming equipment which has not been received by our vendor due to shutdowns and increased demand for this equipment. Until this occurs, we will continue to conduct worship as we have been for the past many weeks
Secondly, our ability to open will also depend on having enough greeters each week to conduct worship. If you are interested in being a greeter, please sign up. For a typical 11:00 worship service we will need around twenty greeters and approximately five for a typical 8:45 service. At the present time, we have only nine persons willing to assist with being a greeter. We cannot express how thankful we are to you nine persons; you certainly are wonderful examples to the rest of us.
At the present time, the Staff Parish Relations, Trustees, and Finance Committees are looking over the proposed protocol and will come back to the Executive Council with their recommendations. The Executive Council will take these under consideration in crafting the final proposal which will be voted on by the Church Council.
We ask you to pray for this work and those who will do it.
